In early December we voted to take a step of faith as a congregation in pursuing $2.25m in renovations and capital replacement funds. But what does that really mean beyond just fundraising?

Renewal is not just about nicer facilities. The renewal comes about by changed hearts, open and obedient to God’s promptings.  Communities won’t be renewed by just adding another program but only by the collective congregational renewal of our hearts.

Here is how this will happen over the next several months. Hearts: Next week —and every week thereafter—we will have the opportunity to engage in a unique kind of corporate prayer. Communities: Later in February we will all have the opportunity to share in Community Renewal Gatherings hosted by Life Groups and Rush Communities. In March we will be renewing our commitment to global mission communities. Facilities: By the end of March we are praying for lead gifts to exceed $700,000 in order to begin major construction in May.   On April 22nd we will be coming together as a congregation to make financial commitments toward Project: Renewal and celebrate what God has done and will do, in and through Rush Creek Bible Church.  So, will you pray for God to challenge your heart; listen for that unmistakable still, small voice; and be obedient in response?
