There were about 40 different writers over a very long time who wrote the Bible. They were from many different life styles—like a doctor, a farmer, and even a fisherman. Just like there were different people, there are different types of writing, like history, poetry, and prophecy (which tells about the future). The amazing thing about the Bible is that even though so many people wrote it over such a long time, it has just one message, it tells one story, and it points to one person, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. There is no other book like it on this earth. And if you are called by God, His words will be the joy and the delight of your heart!
