Report from Mission Committee on money given for projects on the fields:
It is with a real heart of gratitude that we thank all of you for your generous giving to Missions at RCBC. These are some of the projects that the Mission Committee has been able to give to over and above the regular giving that you do individually to the different missionaries and organizations. These funds come from the undesignated giving to missions. The Mission Committee then is able to respond to various special needs and projects they receive from the missionaries
April $1,560—gift to April Lorenz to cover 5 weeks of language study in Puerto Rico
$1,000—gift for the Nicaragua property construction project (GMI – Seravelli)
May: $1,500—Brazilian Literature Fund for Things to Come. This is to print “Understanding
the Gospels” by Charles Baker, and to ship “Understanding the Bible” by Craig McDonald
$4,000—Malawi evangelism and literature projects with Grace Ministries International. ($1,700—motorcycle; $1,365 – solar panels; the balance for other evangelism and literature projects)
$1,000—Rabenold Vehicle fund (Tanzania with GMI)
July: $ 500—Jon Velting EXITE trip to Paraguay
$1,500—Sanchez’s for startup costs when they arrive on the field (GMI)
$1,500—for startup costs for Vergara’s moving to the new field of Paraguay (GMI) $1,000—Mwanza Ministry Fund in Tanzania for bicycles and food (GMI)
This is a letter received from Frosty & Cathy Hansen:
Dear Friends at RCBC, Thank you for your generous gift toward our training center classroom project. We are excited to see walls going up this week and things beginning to take shape. You can see a video on YouTube and actually “walk” through the building. The link is GMI Bolivia Training Center Building. Frosty’s classes with the pastors are going well and Cathy will be meeting with a group of pastors’ wives again this Friday. We appreciate your prayers for us and encouragement for the work GMI is doing here in Bolivia.
– Frosty and Cathy
We were also able to give a conference gift for the organizations that participated in our Home Missions Conference in October.
We will also be giving an additional Christmas gift for the foreign missionaries we support.
Thanks again for your participation in the work that God is doing around the world through our missionaries and mission organizations.
The RCBC Missions Committee
