Who we are

We are a local body of Christ-followers in the heart of Byron Center Michigan.

We have a vision and demonstrated commitment to engage with our surrounding community; contributing to the life and health of the greater Byron Center area and beyond.

 

Our mission is to increasingly reflect Jesus Christ through our authentic care for others in the places that we work and serve. We strive to be a genuine community, to be genuine in the communities where God has placed us.

What to Expect

When you walk through the doors of Rush Creek Bible Church, you will likely find the atmosphere friendly. That friendliness is not forced, but a general reflection of the heart of Rush Creek. We love when visitors take the time to visit and explore Rush Creek.
Friendly Welcome
Some of the faces that greet you will be wearing a lanyard. We encourage you to ask questions of them. If they don’t know the answer, they are committed to get your questions answered.
With a little exploration, you will see that we offer a robust offering of ministry opportunities for all ages. We are committed to multi-generation ministry. Our ministries are centered around Scripture, discipleship, and mentoring. We know this is best accomplished in genuine community—real people engaging in the lives of others.
We’re committed to kids and students as part of our multi-generation ministry. Centered around Scripture, discipleship, and mentoring, we partner with parents to equip the next generation in genuine community—come as you are and grow together.
We are not dependent on one pastor or leader. Rather we have multiple pastors, staff, and lay leaders who preach, facilitate learning, and equip others to do the same. Our message is consistent, and our methodologies are intentional.
The first thing you may notice as you drive past Rush Creek Bible Church is one or more activities taking place on the campus. This reflects our commitment to avail our facilities to the community through other ministries that share a heart to draw people closer to God.
It is likely that your first encounter with us is actually through watching one of our Sunday morning services. We would encourage you to take the opportunity to stream a Sunday morning service. This should give you a taste of our style of Sunday morning worship. We encourage you and/or your family to come as you are. No need to dress to impress.
“Church” is more than Sunday morning worship. It’s a community. And while we hope you find people friendly during your visits, our prayer is that you would become part of the family of Rush Creek Bible Church.

Our Commitment to Kids and Families

At Rush Creek Bible Church we believe that families are the catalyst for faith. In light of that, we are committed to coming alongside families as they intentionally seek to follow Christ. This means that we will actively come alongside Parents and Guardians as they disciple their kids to live as Jesus lived (1 Cor 11:1, 1 John 2:6).

Our Sunday morning programs, K-8th grade, work hard to mirror what you as Parents and Guardians are learning in order for you to continue the conversations and learning at home.

Our Wednesday evening program, K-12th, follows a curriculum that families work together to complete during the week.

Our student programs, 5th-12th grade, programs have a strong discipleship element to them that seek to get your students connected to other strong believers to build on the foundation laid at home.
