I am a Christian, now what do I do?
You believed that Jesus is fully God, and died for you sins. You admitted that you are a sinner and asked Jesus into you heart, and became a Christian. That is wonderful, but what is your next step?
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed – not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence – continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
Philippians 2:12 -13
The Apostle Paul wrote this letter to the church in Philippi for the purpose of encouragement and instruction. Look at the phrase “working out your salvation”. This means to implement or act on it. It means that God’s love for us and our love for Him will produce good works, always giving God the praise. It means that we are to show the love of Christ to others . When kindness is needed, show kindness. When help is needed, be helpful. When someone needs encouragement be encouraging. If you are a Christian, act like it.
