I doubted God when I was young. Will God take me back now?
People told you that God was not real, that the Bible was just a book of fables. You believed that Jesus was God’s Son and that he died on the cross for your sins as a child. But when you got older, you started believing people who were not Christians. You doubted what God clearly said in His Word. Now that you’re older you realize that those people were wrong. Is God so angry that he does not want you back? The answer to that question is no. God loves you more than you can ever know. Yes he was saddened when you turned away but God will forgive and take you back. Admit that you sinned when you turned away from him and your God will forgive you.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.
Psalm 103:11-13
God rejoices when we come to him because of his amazing love for us.
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
