Why doesn’t God give us more evidence of His existence?
It would be nice if everyone on their 16th birthday received an vision of God showing Himself and speaking with a deep authoritative voice saying, “I AM THE GOD OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH. BELIEVE THAT MY SON JESUS DIED FOR YOUR SINS. IF YOU DON’T YOU WILL SPEND ETERINTY IN HELL!” Why wouldn’t a loving and good God make the fact of His existence undeniable? That is a good question and there is an answer to that question. God wants us to use our free will to seek Him. God wants us to choose to love Him. There is plenty of evidence on the historical truthfulness on the resurrection of Jesus Christ and on the observational and logical evidence of Biblical Creation. God wants people to search out the case that He does indeed exist.
If God came to everyone on their 16th birthday, we would be like puppets, with God controlling what we believe, not our choice. God would in effect force us to love Him. A forced love is not a genuine love that God desires.
I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my Fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
