As we were reminded in last week’s message; prayer, listening, and obedience to God’s prompting is the foundation of all renewal. Beginning this week we have two renewed opportunities to collectively pray and listen to God’s leading—as community. Here are some ways we can learn this essential discipline of prayer.

Sign up: Each Thursday, around the noon hour, we can join in prayer together to seek God’s prompting in our lives, in our church, and in our community. To sign up for this weekly text, open up your Rush Creek App, click on Project Renewal, then Prayer Partner Registration or go to https://rushcreekbc.breezechms.com/form/ppr.

Drop in: Every third Sunday of the month, you are invited to join with others to pray for our church; the receptivity of  hearts and community to the life-renewing power of the Gospel. Join us in the lounge (across from the Kitchen) anytime between 9:15 to 9:55 AM prior to the service. No need to pray out loud. Coming in late and leaving early is not a problem either. If you would like a reminder prior to these prayer times, please email [email protected].

God works through us to impact the community around us. But he first draws us to deeper community with Him and each other. Please join us for one of the four Community Renewal Gatherings from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Fireside Room:

  • Tonight, February 11
  • Tuesday, February 13
  • Friday, February 16
  • Friday, February 23

We will hear how some have experienced a profound sense of community at Rush Creek, share how we can work together to foster even stronger community, and spend some concerted time praying for opportunities to extend into the community around us.

The renewal of our facilities has begun. While worshiping this morning, look up and see the new speaker and sound system. More importantly you will hear a crisp, clear fullness in every way. While the major construction overseen by First Companies won’t begin until May, Lord willing, the installation of this sound system now has allowed us to shave significant expenses from our earlier estimates. Over the weeks our tech team will explore the optimal mix and balance along with future planned acoustical room treatments to be installed.
