RushCreek Family—

We are looking forward to worshiping with you tomorrow at 10 a.m. online here.  And as we look at the week ahead, here is a quick update; subject to change, of course.

We are all likely weary of talk of the virus and changes that result. So we are striving to be concise in our communication. Just today (Saturday) we convened with the Kent County Health Department; a meeting for pastors throughout our community. This call provided great clarity for the way forward—both the why and the how we can move forward. At least for now.

Our board and staff are taking seriously the mandate of the President, and the recommendations of our state and local authorities; recommending gatherings of 10 or less. We are working within that guideline to meet real needs—in responsible ways—in order to partner in mitigating the spread of the virus and protecting the vulnerable. That is the impetus for all these extreme precautions.

We are here to serve

Our office hours will still be Monday through Thursday from 9 to 4, and Friday 9 to noon.

That said, we are going to ask that you call ahead if you intend to stop in at the church. The church doors will be locked and we can let you in. People are eager to be helpful and we are grateful for that display of generosity and ambition to serve and do ministry, Yet we will need to control the flow of traffic to do our part to mitigate the potential spread of the virus. Thanks for your patience.

We don’t have the antidote to isolation, but we can provide some encouraging things for our church family and friends to look forward to.

So mark your calendar for…

The Passion and Prayer (April 10)—a live stream Good Friday presentation and message, followed by a 36-hour prayer vigil leading into our Sunday a.m. Easter service celebration.

Easter is approaching! Not just the day, but the time we celebrate Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. Regardless of how many can gather together on Easter Sunday  … we will celebrate together even if online.

First, mark your calendar for a very special Good Friday service during the evening of April 10th.

Then, the following 36 hours—leading up to our Easter service—there will be an opportunity for individuals and families to sign up to come to the church to pray in half-hour increments between the end of this powerful musical presentation and our celebration service on Easter morning. Stay tuned for more details…

Family Fun Time

Does your family need to get out of the house, but nowhere to go?
Next Tuesday and Thursday we are making space available for families to burn off some steam at the church—one family at a time.

Our Gym, PlayZone, and Library are open to being scheduled for one hour, morning and afternoon each day.

Call the office at 616.583.7600 to schedule a time. We have protocols in place to sanitize after each use and limit to no more than 10 people.

Be safe. Stay Well. Be Blessed… and a Blessing.
