How should I handle criticism?

Depends on who is doing the criticism and why was the criticism given. Was the criticism meant to be helpful or to hurt? You need to listen carefully to what is being said. Was the criticism valid? Do not react emotionally, but think it through. We all need helpful suggestions and advice at times. The rebuke may be helpful and it would be wise to make some changes and be helped by what was said.

Whoever corrects a mocker invites insults; whoever rebukes the wicked incurs abuse. Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you; rebuke the wise and they will love you. Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.

Proverbs 9:7-9

Be wise enough to accept helpful criticism and discerning enough to ignore criticism that is meant to hurt.

Whoever heeds life-giving correction will be at home among the wise.

Proverbs 15:31

Like an earring of gold or an ornament of fine gold is the rebuke of a wise judge to a listening ear.
