Sunday AM

NAME: FRIENDSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP
TIME: 9:00 a.m.
DATES: Jan 10 – Summer
LOCATION: Courtyard Room
TOPIC: The Book of Daniel
TEACHER: Tim Conklin

No biblical book has been more criticized and held in more contempt by Bible bashers
than this text. We will cover the background of the book (the Babylonian captivity) and closely explore
Daniel’s writing chapter by chapter.
We will answer questions like, how did Daniel as a godly young man not only survive but flourish
in a pagan society? What are the real names of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego? Did King Nebuchadnezzar become a believer? What does the famous writing on the wall (mene mene tekel upharsin) really mean? How are we to understand the gross images in Daniel’s prophecies? Does Daniel truly predict what will happen in the last days?
We will learn principles showing us how believers ought to live when surrounded by falsehood and
godlessness. We will study the details of biblical prophecy regarding the end times. We will be
reinforced and emboldened to trust the Word of God, and be enabled to share God’s truth with others.
In this study we will be energized to deepen our faith, uplift our hope and worship God better.
