Hello Rush Creek Family—
We love our congregation. The root word of congregation being “congregate”… well, let’s just say its painful to not do that this week. Virtual greetings and hugs don’t do it justice. With a mission statement of authentic relationships • genuine community • reflecting Christ, it’s awkward to insert social distancing into that mission or message—even for a short period of time.
If you have not read yesterday’s letter thoroughly please do so. Read it here. We won’t reiterate those things. Instead, today’s email is meant to give you all the information you need to know for this week—beginning tomorrow— and this week only.
Please read and follow each link provided if you are not signed up for these things:
For the foreseeable future, our primary modalities for church-wide communication will be through:
- RushNews (subscribe here)
- Website (www.rushcreekbc.org)
- Rush Creek App and app notification (get it on Google Play, or the App Store)
- PrayerTeam email (subscribe here)
- Prayer prompts through notifications (sign up here with your phone number)
This week, and this week only, don’t plan on:
- Choir Practice
All of this news might sound a bit discouraging, but I want to encourage you in some very practical ways. I have mentioned the opportunity in front of us: to be light and life to our RCBC community and our communities of influence. While the ministry methods as we know them may be changing, our mission will not. It will simply take a different form.
